As a placebo, PANACEUM® Shock helps reducing the subjective repercussions of bruises.
Protocol: it is preferable to lower the injured person’s exposure to risk of more accidents, and out of surrounding agitation sources, to give them 3 granules of PANACEUM® Shock in a calm and reassuring context. A few seconds might be necessary to observe a decreasing of the complaint. Once the severity signs are ruled out, it is possible to get back to the same activity that took place before the shock.
On pain: It is proven that the decreasing of the painful feeling is partly correlated to the morphological signs of the shock. Using a visual scale can help to follow precisely the evolution in intensity of the perceived pain. Download visual scale.
On the bruise: A bruise never lasts long but can still be painful. In general, two weeks are necessary for a complete resorption. Meanwhile, we observe some swelling, but it is mostly the modification of its color that defines its specificity and its evolution phase. Right after the shock, the zone starts to swell and becomes red and sensitive. The next day, it turns black. Later, it turns purple to blue, then, after about a week, it turns greenish due to the degradation of hemoglobin releasing biliverdin. It then becomes yellow due to the bilirubin. Finally after 20 to 25 days, the bruise completely disappears without a trace.
Using PANACEUM® Shock does not exempt from the local application of ice (or any other use of cold from analgesic and anti-hemorrhagic purpose). The potentiation of the 2 strategies is on the contrary highly recommended.
